Alphawood Foundation today announced a series of staff changes and additions.
Kristin Hettich has been promoted to Program Officer. Kristin joined Alphawood in December of 2012 as a Grants Management Assistant. Prior to joining the Foundation, she held a variety of positions in the non-profit sector, including an eight year tenure at the Golden Apple Foundation where she served as a Program Assistant, Associate Director of Development, and Program Coordinator. Kristin also spent time as an AmeriCorps volunteer, Peace Corps volunteer, and intern with the Chicago Park District. She holds a B.A. in International Studies and an M.S. in Forest Ecology. Christopher Audain has joined Alphawood as a Program Officer. Chris comes to the Foundation from The Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago where he was Project and Finance Coordinator. Prior to that he was employed by the Art Institute of Chicago. Chris has experience on both sides of the arts world—both as a presenter and a performer. Finally, Melissa Terrell has joined the Alphawood staff as the Office Administrative Assistant. In this role, Melissa will support all of the program and executive staff of the Foundation and will be responsible for the efficient operation of its offices. She brings a depth of experience from a variety of prior professional positions, as well as her leadership role with the Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles in Chicago.
